MissionIn Lumine exists in order to spread a higher view of the Glory of God and Excellency of Christ through literature for Russian speakers. Our desire is that many would come to see and know God in a way that would produce more awe, more love, more joy, and more worship in their lives. Resolutions · Provide books at an affordable price · Provide free material to download for those who can’t afford to purchase books · All profit from sales will be put back into publishing in order to increase our ability to further our mission · Seek to use all means available such as audio and video along side of literature to accomplish our mission HistoryIn Lumine began as a side project in 2005 when missionary Jake Knotts, while living in Chernigov, Ukraine, wanted to see more books available that were mainly about God and Christ in contrast to most of the books available dealing with self-help topics and man’s felt needs. After working with a friend in Kiev, our first book, The Passion of Jesus Christ was printed. In 2006 Jake along with Olya Velichko decided to register with the government as a small business and seek to more actively publish books. Our second book Seeing and Savoring Jesus Christ was printed and In Lumine was officially licensed to publish books. Since then we have been learning about the Christian book industry in Russia and Ukraine. We are currently working on developing a distribution network, establishing strategic partnerships with other publishers, and we are continuing to obtain rights, translate, edit, and prepare for print other titles.
